Building Layout

Anglesey Court is registered as a 20 bedded Residential Home for the elderly, where we hope to provide a friendly, caring, family environment.

The home is situated in Alverstoke and is situated close to Crescent gardens, which the residents are welcome to use.

Anglesey Court has a garden in the front with seating available for residents and their families. This has recently been upgraded. To the rear there is a tarmac area which has now been turned into another enclosed garden.

The living accommodation is divided into three floors.

• Ground Floor - which has a lounge, dining room, kitchen, bathroom with a patient hoist, disabled toilet, main office, one single room and one double bedroom. Laundry and airing cupboard. Entrance to a shaft lift to the upper floors. Stair lift available in case of break down of shaft lift.

• Middle Floor - which has a bathroom with a patient hoist, small communal area, an office, two doubles and five single bedrooms.

• Top Floor - Which has a bathroom, private communal area, two doubles and three single bedrooms.

Each room is provided with a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bed side locker and a commode. There is a sink unit in each room and all are fitted with a nurse call system.

Fresh meals are cooked on the premises and we have a monthly rotation of menu’s, these being periodically discussed with residents and changed to the resident’s likes and dislikes. Should there be a meal that a resident dislikes there is always an alternative available. At tea time there is always a choice and for suppertime snacks are available, with their milky drink should residents wish.

At all times the residents wishes are taken into consideration, to the extent that if they require refreshments at any time, even at night time, their wishes are generally met.
